Journey Church will eventually function with Biblical Elders and Deacons in leadership. Until individuals are installed in these roles we have chosen to function with a leadership team comprised of Journey Church staff and other leaders from the church.
Our Current Leadership Team is made up of the following individuals:
Tom Fitzpatrick, Ryun Pavlicek, Vic Cuccia, David Johnson, Reid Fitzpatrick
Vic Cuccia Pastor

Vic was born in the windy city of Chicago and was raised in the
small town of Twin Lakes Wisconsin. Upon graduating high school, he
attended the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater, where he pursued his
bachelor’s degree in business management. It was while attending
college that Vic became a follower of Jesus Christ.
Having no religious upbringing, and no understanding of the Bible,
it took God moving in a powerful way to show him his need for a savior.
After realizing this, he not only committed his life to following
Christ but to serving Him in any capacity that he possibly could.
It was in college that Vic also met the woman of his dreams, Roxane
Eiesland, whom he married and is now his partner in life and ministry.
Vic and Roxane have been married for 21 years and they now have three
wonderful children, Victor, Karis and Jonathan.
Upon graduation from UW-W, Vic and Roxane packed their bags and moved to Columbia South Carolina where Vic attended seminary at Columbia International University. It was there that he earned his Master of Divinity degree.
Vic has now been in full time ministry for 18 years and has served
as the associate pastor of two churches. Currently, he serves as the
Lead Pastor of Journey Church and is committed to seeing the city of
Jacksonville transformed by the power of Jesus Christ, expressed through
those who love Him. To use his own words “there is no other place that
I would rather be than engaged in God’s mission to heal a broken world,
with a group of people who are genuinely interested in loving God,
loving others and making the world a better place. This is what makes
Journey Church special and this is what being a Christ follower is all
about.”

Jason Robinson Worship

Jason was born in the misty northwest state of Washington, moved to
the island of Japan and has now lived in Jacksonville for the majority
of his life. Being raised in the church, he gave his life to Christ
when he was 9 years old. As most do, he grew older and realized a
personal relationship with Christ was something very different than an
inherited parents’ faith. He committed himself to serving Christ and
the Church in High School where he led worship for his youth group. He
continued leading worship after graduating, and took on a leadership
role with the youth.
Playing in a handful of bands, Jason knew his calling was in music,
but wanted to stay close to his passion of bringing people to worship
through that art. He began feeling a tug toward church planting in
early 2006 and began looking into what he could do in this area and
after a year, he met Vic Cuccia (Lead Pastor of the then newly formed
Journey Church) in a local cafe’. After coming to know each other,
Jason was asked to lead worship for Journey Church, and after a number
of months, was brought on staff as Worship Leader.
Jason loves his home and family at Journey Church, and continues to
carry a passion for bringing people to the throne room of the Creator
through the new and old in the worship circle. |

Shante' McCleod - Children's Director
Michael Petrillo - Youth
Pete Dymond - Connections
Pete was born in England near the Royal Air Force base where his father served as a flying officer. After his parents divorced, Pete’s family moved to the south east of England where he lived until he was 19 years old. At that time he decided to find his father and embarked on a journey that eventually led to permanent residence in Jacksonville, Florida.
Far from living for God, it took a series of tragic events to finally bring Pete to his knees, when a shattering encounter with God revealed the terrible truth of his personal sin, and desperate need for Jesus.
Lacking any understanding of Christ, or the call on his life, Pete stumbled around until he found a church and a Pastor who took him into his home & family, where he taught, encouraged and counseled him.
It was while at this ministry Pete first got involved with the start-up of the youth ministry & for 3 years he served as youth worship leader and assistant to the Youth Pastor.
Then everything changed when one Sunday night, Lynn, Chris (12) & Chelsea (8) walked into the church and into his life. After a whirlwind romance, they were married later that year, and today, they are very happily married with 3 more children, Pierce, Julia & Audrey.
For more than 10 years, Pete has been involved in various ministry roles, including prayer ministry, street evangelism, men’s ministry, praise & worship as well as the start-up and leadership of 3 youth ministries.
A graduate of a 2-year practical ministry program, his desire is to stand at the crossroads of life and simply direct those he encounters to choose the narrow path that is Christ.
“I spent a long time going the wrong way, once I turned around, it sure was a long way back!”
